Geothermal Heat Pumps

Technology at its best: efficient and cost-effective. Installing a geothermal heat pump will provide your home with the convenience of both heating and cooling from the same unit. Heat pumps are a renewable and free supply of energy – another great reason to go green.

WaterFurnace

White Heating & Air Conditioning installs geothermal heat pumps by WaterFurnace. WaterFurnace has been in the geothermal industry since the 1980’s, and they are at the forefront of innovation in the industry. Their products are built to last and incredibly efficient. Other great features include noise-reduction technology, optional hot-water assist, and great add-ons like the IntelliZone 2 temperature control system.

How Does it Work?

Rather than exchanging heat with the air outside, geothermal heat pumps exchange heat with the ground via underground pipes. Even in harsh winter or summer temperatures, the temperature a few feet below the ground stays at about 55 to 70 degrees. In the summer, the heat pump takes unwanted heat from your house and takes it to the cooler ground. In the winter, heat pumps concentrate heat from underground to heat your home.
